How New West Co LLC collects, uses and protects your information, and the privacy rights you have in Colorado.

Who we are

New West Co LLC is a Colorado limited liability company based in Timnath, Colorado. We build decks, garages, bathrooms, framing and trim for homeowners across Northern Colorado and beyond. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” mean New West Co LLC, and “you” means anyone who visits www.newwestcolorado.com, asks us for an estimate, or hires us.

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have, including your rights under the Colorado Privacy Act.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you use our estimator, fill out a form, call, text or email us, we collect what you share, such as:

  • Your name, email address, phone number and the city or address of the project
  • Project details, measurements, photos and answers you give in the estimator
  • Messages, notes from calls and site walks, and scheduling details

Information from working together. If you hire us, we keep your proposal, signed agreement, change orders, permits, invoices, payment records and warranty records.

Payment information. Online payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card or bank account number goes to Stripe and is never stored on our systems. We receive the amount, date, payment method type and the last digits of the card or account.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we collect the pages you view, time on each page, the site that referred you, your device type, screen size, browser language, and an approximate location based on your IP address. A random visit ID is stored in your browser so we can tell visits apart. See Cookies and analytics.

Security logs. Our network provider records technical details such as IP addresses to protect the site from attacks and abuse.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Answer your questions and prepare estimates and proposals
  • Schedule site walks and work, and keep you updated on your project
  • Perform the work, order materials, pull permits and arrange inspections
  • Send invoices, accept payments, keep our books and file our taxes
  • Honor warranties and respond to any concerns after the job
  • Understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it
  • Protect our customers, our team and our systems, and meet legal obligations

We do not use your information for targeted advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed to run our business:

  • Service providers that work for us under contract, including Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Google Workspace (email and calendar), Cloudflare (website security and delivery) and Railway (hosting). They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
  • Subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors and building departments when needed for your project, such as your address for a delivery or a permit.
  • Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect rights, property or safety.
  • A change in our business, such as a sale or merger, where the new owner must honor this policy.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties for targeted or cross context behavioral advertising.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies and similar tools are small pieces of data stored in your browser. We keep them to a minimum and do not use third party advertising or tracking cookies.

  • Strictly necessary. Security cookies set by Cloudflare to block bots and attacks, a cookie that remembers your cookie choice, and sign in cookies for our team. These are always on because the site needs them.
  • Analytics. A random visit ID kept in your browser’s storage and anonymous visit statistics sent to our own server, never to an outside analytics company. You can turn analytics off at any time.

You can change your choice any time with the button below or the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, analytics stay off automatically.

Your privacy rights in Colorado

The Colorado Privacy Act (C.R.S. 6-1-1301 et seq.) gives Colorado residents rights over their personal data. The Act applies to businesses above certain size thresholds. Whether or not it applies to us, we honor these rights for everyone:

  • Access: confirm whether we process your personal data and get a copy of it
  • Correction: fix information that is inaccurate
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your personal data
  • Portability: get your data in a format you can take elsewhere
  • Opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising and profiling. We do none of these, and we honor Global Privacy Control as a valid opt out.

How to make a request. Email [email protected] or call (970) 658-9155. We will confirm your identity before acting, usually by matching information we already have. You may use an authorized agent, who must show written permission from you.

Our response. We respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why, and we may take up to 45 more days when reasonably necessary. Requests are free up to twice a year.

Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing [email protected] with the subject “Privacy appeal.” We answer appeals within 45 days. If you disagree with our answer, you may contact the Colorado Attorney General at coag.gov.

We will never treat you differently, charge you more or deny you service for using these rights.

Some records must be kept even after a deletion request, such as signed contracts, permits, invoices and tax records, when the law or a legitimate business need such as a warranty requires it. We will tell you if that applies.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it. Project, contract, warranty and financial records are generally kept for at least eight years after a project is finished, because Colorado allows certain construction claims to be brought for up to eight years after completion and tax records must be kept for several years. Estimate requests that do not become projects are kept for up to two years, or deleted sooner if you ask.

When records are no longer needed, we destroy or erase them securely, as Colorado law requires (C.R.S. 6-1-713).

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards for a small business: encrypted connections to our website, strong sign in with passkeys or Google accounts for our team, limited access to customer records, and payment processing by Stripe so card and bank numbers never touch our systems.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Colorado law (C.R.S. 6-1-716), within 30 days after we determine that a breach occurred.

Texts, calls and emails

Text messages. When you give us your mobile number on our website (booking a site walk, our estimator or our contact form), on a call, or by texting us first, you agree that New West Co may text you about your estimate and project: booking confirmations, appointment reminders, schedule updates, replies to your questions, invoices and payment links, follow up when we miss your call, and one request for a review when your job is done. Consent is not a condition of hiring us.

  • How often: message frequency varies with your project, usually a few messages a week while we are working with you.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
  • Stop or get help: reply STOP to any text to stop texts, START to begin again, or HELP for help. You can also call us at (970) 658-9155 or email [email protected].
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other categories in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Calls and email. We may call or email you about your estimate, project, schedule, invoices and warranty. We send marketing emails only to customers and people who asked to hear from us, and every one includes an unsubscribe link. We do not send marketing texts.

Children

Our site and services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will post a notice on the site or contact you.
